Question by IJOKETOO MUCH: Why do so many african Americans have aids?
Why is it that african Americans have such a high ratio aids in their culture?
Best answer:
Answer by makalas_mommy
Aids is high in poorer neighborhoods, because of a lack of education. If noone tells them to use a condom or provides them with some they’ll continue to pass it around. Also there’s no way for them to get regular HIV tests so that they even know they have the virus.

Question by A: How to live without Adderall?
Sorry for making this long. But if anyone reads this I appreciate you taking the time. Basically, I have extreme treatment resistant depression. (Suicidal, no motivation, couldn’t even get out of bed every day, just wanted to die). Years of taking practically every antidepressant did nothing for me. (I honestly believe they’re just placebos). Eventually I was prescribed Adderall as an add on to my antidepressant. It was a blessing. It makes me happy, confident, motivated, clear headed, better at everything, and energetic. It is the only thing that has ever helped. All the therapy, antidepressants and mood stabilizers in the world couldn’t help me. 2 weeks after being prescribed Adderall my life completely turned around. (Found a job, stopped abusing drugs, all my problems went away and I feel on top of the world). But I don’t want to take Adderall for the rest of my life. I know it can be a terrible drug and i’m well aware of the long term effects. But I don’t know how I can live and function without it. I fear i’ll lose my job, get really depressed, lose my friends, and won’t be able to do anything if I get off of it. Everyone says I’m doing so much better now. But I know it’s not me, it’s speed. I hope that this changed perspective can stick with me after I stop taking it and that the medicine will change my personality permanently for the better or that I’ll become used to thinking this way and it will become part of me. But I don’t know if it will. All I know is that I can’t take this forever. But I can’t live without it. I don’t know what to do and can’t see any other options. Please help. Any serious advice is appreciated. (And please no “You need rehab.” etc.) I don’t have drug issues. I have mental issues.

Go the natural route. Herbs, vitamins, healthy foods. Herbs like St. John’s Wort and Niacin. It can’t hurt to try it. Here’s a link that goes more in-depth about this. Hope everything works out in the end.

Question by candigal: What comes to mind when you think of a “drug addict”?
Are “drug addicts ” bad people? Is drug use a choice? What is the eccomomic status of most people who use drug? What are some of the names people have for drug addicts? Do you think treatment works? How are “addicts” different then “non-addicts”? This is for an essay I am writing. Thanks for your help. Also do you think that there is a certain eithnic group that has a higher rate of substance abuse?
Best answer:
Answer by Hell’s Own Harlot
Drug addicts are not necessarily bad people. They lack self control and are under a notion that what they want must be gratified RIGHT NOW. They lack any type of concern for how their behavior effects others and personally, I consider it a slow suicide. Treatment only works if you want it to. You have to be motivated and most drug users aren’t. There are not any particular ethnic groups that are more prone to use than any other. You have losers in every race of people.

Question by SK: Can you defend this tile for research paper, ” ADDICTION OF TEENAGE TO DOTA”??
What is the significance of studying this??
What cause made you do this research??
Best answer:
Answer by rebecca v d liep
Assuming DOTA or Dota or dota is a drug or other possibly addictive substance, video game, etc, yes. Note that spell check is not sufficient: the word ‘teenage’ is a real word, but wrong in this title (as the word ’tile’ is a real word as well).
The significance of this depends in part on what you are writing it for. It makes a difference if this is a paper for a medical course or a high school social studies course. ‘What made you do this research?’ is a question only you can answer. It could be because you are genuinely interested in the topic. If you are not interested in the topic, but had to pick ‘something’, then say something like ‘this is a serious topic amongst teenagers and I hope to explore its issues’ or something like that. chuess!
