If you are referring to the program created by Jack Trimpey, which refers to AVRT or the “addictive voice”, then yes I know about it and it works. I highly recommend it.

I am a spiritual person, I believe in God and the “higher power” BUT when it comes to addiction, it is terribly important to understand that our brains and minds function on so many complicated levels – if you stop to think about what an addiction is (to drugs, pills, alcohol, nicotine), then the process described by the Rational Recovery method makes perfect sense.

It’s easy to read all of the negative “press” that this guy has received and believe it, but the bottom line is – do you (or whoever the addicted person is) want to continue to give up all control over your life?

It is not for the faint-hearted or weak willed – if you embark on this process, YOU will be accountable to YOURSELF – for some people that is the scariest part of the process.

Hope that answers your question. It works, but YOU HAVE TO WORK TOO. Just like anything else.

Question by Kelly: Are there any rehab treatment homes for adults who need serious help controlling Type I Diabetes?
I’ve realized that I cannot do this on my own. I’ve tried to get control for many years but it’s too difficult. I have numerous diabetes-related health conditions and I’m an off-and-on binge eater (no purging). I need help. I’ve tried Specialists, the Diabetes Centre, etc. I think I need to be locked away where professionals can control what and when I eat and the amount of insulin I take.

You might want to see if the ADA has a camp for T1 adults, you might also want to ask your diabetes doctor since they may have more resources they can consult.

That diabetes training camp looks great, but darn it’s expensive!

I did a Google search of “inpatient diabetes treatment centers” and came up with a lot of hits. Hopefully one will be right for you.

No place is going to do this forever. You really need to get back to basics – testing, keeping a written log. Measuring and weighing food for accurate carb counting.

Simple: Stop looking at porn!

Get rid of what you have – sell or give it away. Do not get anymore.

Porn is not an “addiction”. It’s just a “bad habit”. You can break a bad habit without spending thousands on therapy and “treatment centers”.

If you decide that you want to look at porn, in moderation, at some times, do that.

Sounds like to me you should get a Clarifying Treatment (Malibu) for your hair. You can get one at sally’s beauty supply or if you cant get one from there because you don’t have one of those stores Heres a home remedy….

Instead of going to the salon for a “Malibu Treatment” to remove rust/hard water build-up, use 1-2 packets of lemonade Cool aid, etc… (any brand will do) add a little water to make it like a thick paste. Be careful too much water will make it runny! Work into wet hair, leave on for 15-10 minutes! Rinse out & wash with your regular shampoo. Use a towel or shower cap. The mixture will sting/burn when in contact with your skin, just like in the salon. It works!
