Question by Chrissy: What type of dreadlocks were those Ayanna had on “My Strange Addiction” on TLC?
There was a lady on this show who didn’t want to cut her toenails named Ayanna. Her dreads were beautiful. Does anyone know what type they were? It aired tonight. (3/4/12)

Answer by faithless edition
I didn’t watch this so I’m not sure how her dreadlocks looked. But to answer your question there’s no specific “type” of dreadlocks. Mind you, there are different WAYS to create dreadlocks which depend on your hair texture but in the end dreadlocks are just that, dreadlocks. No matter which method you use to start them, in the end, dreadlocks are just tangled hair. Her dreads were probably very well taken care of. If they were as beautiful as you say, then she’s a perfect example of what properly maintained, groomed dreads can look like.

I was trying to figure that out myself, hence how I ended up here. They look like large sister locks or small locks. I want mine that size.
