Question by A: Survey about Marijuana?
I’m doing a final project for my class and had an opinion poll that I wanted to ask anyone who would like to participate:
1) Have you ever used marijuana?
2) Have you ever committed a crime, misdemeanor or felony?
3) Do you believe marijuana can be used as a mental and/or physical healing agent?
4) Do you continue to use marijuana? If so, how long have you used it? If not, how long did you use it?
5) Do you believe alcohol or marijuana is more dangerous?
6) Do you support the legalization of marijuana?

If you could help me out on this I’d really appreciate it. If you don’t feel comfortable asking one or more of the questions, then just leave them blank or put N/A and if you haven’t used marijuana, just put N/A for #4 as well, thanks!

Question by georgy: d’ya think i should ask a doctor if i have add or adhd?
so it’s 6am lol, i’ve stayed up all night trying to write something for english, but every time i start to write i get distracted and do something else. i’ve been looking at a lot of drugs, mainly pot lol, and then adarall, which is an adhd drug i guess, and some guy said it made him do school better, and that reminded me of my little brother, who had adhd and took ridillin or whatever, and that made him calm down i guess.

idk, basically i’m socially awkward, easily distracted, and 3 of my step brothers have mental problems lol. and when i was a kid, i guess the school wanted to put me on meds but my parents didn’t want to… i think i’ll buy some adarall on the street and see what happens =p
eh sorry jerry, it seems that argument uses drug addiction and growth slowing as backing, i’m not worried about those things, so i’m still goin for adarall. that adhd self quiz was kind of cheezy i thought.

Questionairres for ADD or ADHD are at http://counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd/index.html (24 questions) & http://www.oneaddplace.com/add-test.php & http://addtestonline.com/ & http://psychcentral.com/ Go to : “QUIZZES AND TESTS: ADHD” & http://www.dore.com.au/ Print the completed ones, and take to a doctor, but avoid street drugs; you don’t really know what, or how old they are.

I don’t recommend any of the powerful, and addictive central nervous system stimulants. An increased incidence of abuse of cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, and other amphetamines has been reported among users of Ritalin, and other amphetamine related medications, which may well predispose them to later abuse street drugs, with all the undesirable consequences involved. The only ADHD medication not in the stimulant family is Strattera, which is structurally related to the antidepressants, and carries risks, and side effects of its own.

If you ask, you probably get “yes” answer and you get drugs. Pharmaceutical companies will welcome you as their lifetime and never cured customer trying to cure unbearable side effects of one drug with another drug. The drugs will not turn you into an intelligent, smart and outgoing person. You become a zombie or a maniac. Avoid drugs. If you don’t, good luck, you’re playing russian roulette with your life.

Dr. Mary Ann Block
“Because of my medical training, my goal as a physician is to look for and treat the underlying conditions causing the patient’s problem, rather than just covering up those symptoms with drugs. I have seen and treated thousands of children from all over the United States, who had previously been labeled ADHD and treated with amphetamine drugs. By taking a thorough history and giving these children a complete physical exam as well as doing lab tests and allergy testing, I have consistently found that these children do not have ADHD, but instead have allergies, dietary problems, nutritional deficiencies, thyroid problems and learning difficulties that are causing their symptoms. All of these medical and educational problems can be treated, allowing the child to be successful in school and life, without being drugged.”

Question by tikanis: NIACIN AND DRUG TEST?
Hey! I have an interview tonight, and this is what’s up…

I took 6 niacins 500mg yesterday
just took 3 this morning
my interview is tonight at 9
i know i have to take a drug test within 24 hours of that
the last time i smoked was saturday morning

what should i do to pass?
Anybody who has a remedy?

Best answer:

Answer by hamrrfan
Niacin is a vitamin, not an illegal drug. It is present in many foods. They will not test for it.
Even doctors do not test for it unless there seems to be a nutritional problem.

Be aware that taking too much of any vitamin can cause problems.
“Pharmacological doses of niacin (1.5 – 6 g per day) occasionally lead to side effects that can include dermatological conditions such as skin flushing and itching, dry skin, and skin rashes including eczema exacerbation and acanthosis nigricans”.

EDIT
I see that I misread your question. The niacin will have no effect on the test or the level of THC in your system.

“A common misconception is that taking niacin will help you pass a drug test. This is nothing more than a myth. Niacin has absolutely no effect on the THC metabolites in your urine. But let’s assume that you only took niacin and drank water, and that you did pass your test. It would be a fallacy of causation to think that it was because of the niacin. Nothing more than pure coincidence”.

Answer by malica
Pray. Niacin does nothing to removed drugs from your system, especially since you used drugs so very recently. It can take up to 30 days for pot to get out of your system.

Question by Blake the dinosour!: I don’t know what to do about my medication. I take Adderall XR. Please read, and help.?
Okay, so basically I started taking Aderall XR for about a month now, I use to be a very happy person, that just couldn’t seem to get a task done. So I decided to start Adderall, because that is what I was on as a child. I’m 16 now, and I’m attitude is awful, well I don’t know if it’s my attitude, it’s more like I’m very “IRRITABLE!!!!” I can’t stand any thing, If someone is eating the wrong way it DRIVES me insane, I would hate to see someone look at me the wrong way, while me being on this medication. Also I have horrid anxiety to the point where I can’t breath. I also can’t even focus. Like school work “what is that”? Lol That’s whats been going on since then. Is this normal? Will this blow over? I mean, I don’t want to keep dealing with this! It’s awful. I feel at times like i could kill myself, I also have somewhat of a depression issue anyways, and this is NOT helping. So please help. Do I need to try regular Adderall? NOT the XR? and a high dose? and or the same dose? I take 20 mg’s. OR try something else, PLEASE HELP if you recommend something else, please, could it be something that could possibly give me energy? or and make me happy, and still, have the weigh loss side effect.

Stop using Adderall and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats;
feeling light-headed, fainting;
increased blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, ****trouble concentrating****, chest pain, numbness, seizure); or
tremor, restlessness, hallucinations, unusual behavior, or motor tics (muscle twitches). from www.drugs.com – Check it out!

Question by g baby: Am I becoming addicted to painkillers?
I recently had my tonsils out and was prescribed percocet for the pain (5mg and I took maybe 3-4 each day when needed). The pain of my throat has gone away but I feel as if other pain has emerged. I wear heels every day and the pain never used to bother me, but now when I take them off I have to lie down because the pain is so bad. I’ve always had stiff necks sometimes and take a couple advil, but lately I have to surround myself with pillows, heating pads, etc and it still hurts. I have pains in my upper thighs as if I have been stretching all the day before and general pains all over that I never “noticed” before. I feel as if even walking around my apartment is a struggle and that I am constantly in pain. Is this because I am used to the pain killers alleviating all the pain and now I’m not as PHYSICALLY numb? Is this the physical addiction to the painkillers? I have a lot of pain killers left from my prescription, but I am thinking it would be a bad idea to take them for this, because if this is the cause, (lack of pain from when I was taking them during the surgery so everyday pains seem even worse), then this would just worsen a developing addiction. Last night I took 1 and a half pills (7.5 mg) and it was far too much and I fell asleep shortly. The night before I had taken 1 and it alleviated the pain without a ton of other side effects. I do NOT want to become addicted though, so please any insight?

I had my tonsils taken out last month and i agree with you the pain hurts so bad! I strongly advise you to cut down on the amount of painkillers you’re taking. Or just stop. Your going down a slippery slope and falling into a deep hole. The farther you travel down the hole, the longer and harder it will be to crawl back out. TRUST ME. Percocet is extremely addictive and don’t under estimate it thinking that you won’t get addicted because you will. Go to a doctor if you are always in pain. Good luck

Answer by Kayleyloves
If u feel like every pain or discomfort u get will go away with pain killers then u might be addicted.if u take them with u everywhere because u think” I might need one later” then ur addicted.

Question by My Baby Has A Hitler Mustache: How do i make my hair grow faster?
I got a haircut, and boy, do i look horrible with it.
Long story short, i want to grow my hair 3 or 4 inches in a few months. I’m a patient person, but when it comes to hair growth, i go completely OCD.
Any tips that can raise My hair’s growth rate as much as possible?

Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by WC
Hair grow at it’s own rate, and there is nothing you can do to speed up hair growth.

Answer by Sur La Mer
If you’re healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW. If you want perfection, you NEED patience.

Babies can do that, by drinking their milk. . . . so can you, so can any of us without any help. From your: good genes, good hair care and all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, that’s where you get all your vitamins & minerals for growing from head to toes. Shampoos are meant for cleaning the hair, not for growing.

If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: “Foods for Healthy Hair” http://www.foodforhealthyhair.com/ http://sg.news.yahoo.com/food-for-healthy-hair.html – or 10 Best Foods for Your Hair.

NO MATTER which link you picked, they all suggest the same foods. Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don’t expect to look like you’ve stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you’ve changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

Cutting your split ends yourself, spend 5-10 mins. on a sunny day so you can easily spot them, using a 2″ scissors, cut strand by strand, section by section, allowing new growth to take over. Then 2x a year, get a good hair cut. This won’t speed things up, but it will make the hair look healthier while it’s growing. Even healthy hair like mine get them, due to normal brushing & styling. Hormonal changes can have a big effect on hair.

Remember: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.

Man-made products & supplements can do more harm than good.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, HAIR LOSS, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11. Pills like medications ALL have side effects. Beware. Example: “I used minoxidil drug to restore the hair on my head; however, I ended up with unwanted body hair. HAIR TRIVIA:
• The hair on your head grows at about 0.00000001 miles per hour. That’s a half-inch per month. Mine grows 3/4″ in 29 days.
• Every day, the 5 million or so hairs on an adult’s body add about 40 yards of new growth.
